Resolved Restrict Item Skill (Celestial Shield) while under Silence/Seal of Silence

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to restrict the use of an item skill (Celestial Shield) when the character is under the effect of mute-type debuffs such as Silence or Seal of Silence.

Currently, even while muted, the player can still activate the item skill, which seems inconsistent with skill usage restrictions.

What would be the proper way to block item skill usage under these conditions?

Any guidance or example implementation would be appreciated.

The problem is that the skill of an item and a character are different entities.

Yeah, we noticed that too, but for a long time we wondered if it might be some sort of glitch—maybe the skills were going through the Celestial.

I agree, that makes total sense.


Since it's a magical ability coming from the item itself and not from the player, it’s logical that it can still be used even while the character is muted. The item is magical, and the effect originates from the item rather than the user.
